After completing the volunteer contact form, you will need to create an account in the sign-up-genius program, then we will enter your contact information for our DOM roster. Afterward, you will receive e-mails only when there is a need.
Funeral Receptions: Daughters of Mary provide support for funeral receptions hosted at the parish that consists of preparing, providing, and serving the food for these receptions. Support for hall set up and necessary non-food items (utensils, paper products) for these receptions are provided by the parish itself. Notification is received from the parish Funeral Coordinators, as soon as they consult with the family, to give us as much time as possible to plan and coordinate, letting us know what type of reception is requested, date and time of day, etc.
Meals: When a family or individual is handling a family member’s serious illness, a hospitalization, or another difficult situation, we will provide meals as needed. Requests often are received through church staff or other parishioners aware of the situation. Once we get the call, we will let all DOM members know the size of the family we will be feeding and if there are any meal restrictions/allergies/dislikes, as well as dates/times for requested delivery. We will not reveal what the illness or difficulty the family is dealing with unless the family gives us specific permission to do so. Once all of the meals are scheduled, the specific information about the family is sent only to the individuals who signed up to provide meals, in order to protect the family’s privacy. When they sign up to provide a meal, DOM members are requested to include the type of meal they plan to provide, in order to avoid duplication of the same meal consecutively.
