Ministry Mission: extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) and ministros extraordinarios de la Sagrada Comunión (MESC) assist the ordinary ministers of the liturgical celebration in the distribution of the Blessed Sacrament. Those who discern this call to serve may also bring Holy Communion to the sick and homebound (private residence, assisted living or medical treatment facility).

Be a faithful and practicing Catholic, with no permanent obstacle to receiving Holy Communion.
Be at least 16 years of age and have received all the appropriate Sacraments of Initiation.
Manifest a love of, reverence for and devotion to the Sacrament of Holy Communion and hold to the truth of the real and substantial presence of Christ in the sacred body and precious blood.
Be registered as a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel parish.
Complete mandation paperwork for the Diocese and attend a one-hour training class at St. Gabriel.
Are willing and able to be regularly scheduled to serve at weekend Mass and at special observances throughout the liturgical year.
