Saint Monica Prayer GroupIf you are in turmoil because someone near and dear to your heart has left the church, you might think you are alone in your anguish, but you are not. Saint Monica Prayer Group - a source of prayer and encouragement to counter despair that arises due to family members and friends who have chosen a life without the fullness of faith. Our steadfast hope is for their salvation in the Lord. In the parable of the Lost Sheep, Jesus said, “Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:7 We look to Saint Monica as a model of redemptive suffering. Her fervent prayers together with God's grace, helped in the conversion of her wayward son Augustine, from sinner to saint. Her patience secured for the Church a brilliant mind who himself influenced the hearts and minds of many souls. Inspired by Saint Monica’s commitment, we pray that our loved ones who have fallen away will also return to the Church founded by Christ the Lord, to journey in truth towards our heavenly home. The Saint Monica Prayer Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays each month, from 6-7:30 p.m. Let us pray for you and with you.
