Children must be seven years or older prior to entering preparation for First Reconciliation/First Communion. Preparation for these sacraments takes place during the 2nd grade Faith Formation program classes. Students and parents will attend two Saturday retreats. Since parents serve as the principal catechist for their child’s formation, parents are required to attend the scheduled parent-focused classes.
 

Dress Code For First Communion

Girls – Dress in good taste is requested and should be appropriate for important life occasions. Shoulders must be covered.  No white gloves as you will be receiving communion by mouth or hands. 

-White Dress (with sleeves and below the knees)
-White Shoes

Boys – If you want to wear a black suit please make sure you have a white shirt. 

-White Shirt
-Black Tie (optional)
-Black Dress Pants (no denim)
-Black Shoes
